LA Love.

If only there wasn’t space between our bodies.
Our flesh crocheted
Like a shawl
Keeping us warm.

I wish we were honest
Not afraid
To allow ourselves the space we create
Before we shift positions and search for signs.

Us in your eyes. I don’t have time.
A queue that never moves.
But how can I abandon desire?
I pull. You push. We’re stuck.

Can I give every inch of me
if you won’t let me in?
If you won’t tell me what you need
how will I know what to give you?

Tell me you are scared.
I will be scared with you.
Tell me you want to try.
We will.

If we win,
Our souls will dance.
With our victory
Hearts will cry.
